Turn the discussion into a usable plan

Ask for the practical information in a form you can revisit: responsibilities, contacts, costs and any instructions specific to your care. Separate a provisional plan from confirmed instructions, and clarify who will explain a change. Comparing written answers is more useful than relying on promotional language or another person's timetable.

Questions to take to your appointment

  • How is each medicine taken?
  • What if I miss a dose?
  • Who can clarify an instruction?

Keep the next step specific

Write down which question matters most to you and ask who can help answer it. This reading does not establish a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation or availability at a particular clinic. Contact the centre to discuss an individual consultation; do not include medical records in an initial email.
